How to convert decimal to fraction

The decimal (base ten or occasionally denary) numeral system has ten as its base. It is the most widely used numeral system.
A fraction is a number that can represent part of a whole.

Let's see an example ,which shows how to convert decimal to fraction.

Question:-.
Convert 0.26 into Common Fraction?

Solution:
Method I) To convert a decimal into a common fraction
1) Put the decimal numeral without the decimal point as the numerator
In this case numerator is 26.
2) Identify the number of decimal places, the decimal is in, beforeconverting it into a fraction
with a suitable denominator. In this case, there are two decimal points,
   so we put 100 in the denominator.
                    26
Therefore 0.26= ----------
                    100       
Method II) Put the numeral decimal point as the numerator
and invert as many zeroes on the right of 1 as there are digits in the
decimal part of the given decimal numeral.
               
         2     6     2*10+6         20+6       26
0.26= ------+ ---- =----------- = ------- = ------
        10     100     100          100       100
