Question : A basket contains 350 eggs. If 12% of the eggs are rotten, find the number of eggs good enough to be sold.
Solution :
Step 1. Total number of eggs = 350 eggs.
Step 2. Number of rotten eggs= 12% 0f 350
= 12/100 x 350
= 4200/100
= 42
Step 3 Number of good eggs = total eggs - rotten eggs
= 350 - 42
= 308
Answer = 308 good eggs
